Description
The longest continually running road race on Martha's Vineyard, the Chappy Point to Point is a 5-mile road race from the waters of Wasque Point to the ferry at Chappy Point.
Registration is limited to 320 runners.
Race bibs can be picked up on June 29th at Memorial Wharf between 4:00 - 5:00 pm or in the Chappy Ferry parking lot from 7.00 - 8.00 am on June 30th. Runners who pick up their bibs on Saturday will receive a free passenger round trip on the Chappy Ferry. Vans will shuttle runners from the Parking Lot to the starting point at Wasque Point from 7.00 - 8.00 am.

Race Proceeds
This year, the race proceeds will be used to fund Chappy Connect, a transportation service for older Chappy residents.
Adequate transportation options for Older Adults regardless of where they live is a key domain of healthy aging. Chappy Connect will help to even the playing field for our Chappy Older Adults, giving them an opportunity to utilize transportation options available on Martha's Vineyard including the VTA Medivan and Lift, Council on Aging sponsored shopping shuttles, and GoGoGrandparents, an on demand program managed by Healthy Aging Martha's Vineyard. The goal of this year’s Point to Point is to make Chappy Connect a reality by raising funds to purchase a vehicle (ideally electric/hybrid) and charging station and to cover operating expenses. Chappy Connect will be used to pick up Chappy Older Adults and take them to the ferry (or across the ferry as necessary) to connect to existing transportation options and then to bring them home. The program will be developed and managed by members of the Older Adult Transportation Coalition led by Healthy Aging Martha's Vineyard, partnering with the Edgartown Council on Aging.
