Join The Winner's Circle Running Club on Sunday 12/13/2026,  at 10:00 A.M. for our annual Santa's Toy Trot at the Sweetsir School in Merrimac, Massachusetts!!!  Whether you're chasing a personal best, enjoying a festive run with friends, or simply embracing the holiday spirit, this race is the perfect way to celebrate the season while giving back to our community.  Prior to the actual race children,10 and under, are welcome to participate in a fun run around the elementary school led by a Winner's Circle Running Club Member, free of charge. The first 200 registrants will receive a thermal hat, so be sure to register early!! 

We will do our best to make the race day merry and bright, but New England weather can be unpredictable.  The race will be held regardless of weather conditions unless the roads are closed by local police. 

The all-paved flat surfaces, and the charming streets of Merrimac make it perfect for families, pets and stroller friendly.  

Please note that race entry fees are non-refundable.  

Choose your challenge!

Participants can choose to run 2, 4, or 6 miles on a course that starts and finishes at the school. The 2-mile loop allows runners to decide whether to complete one, two, or three loops, making this event a great fit for runners of all abilities.  

Awards & Prizes!

A little friendly competition makes the holidays even more fun!!  Overall awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers in each distance.  Age-group awards will be also given in 10-year age groups, however, beginning at age 60 age-group awards will be given in 5-year age groups until 90+!!!, and prizes will be awarded two deep.

Team Competition!

Gather you friends, family members, or coworkers, or running teammates and compete together in our team competition!!  Teams can include runners of all abilities and distances, making this a fun way to share the holiday spirit while adding a little friendly rivalry to race day.  Create your team during registration, encourage your teammates, and see if your group can earn team bragging rights.  Teams must consist of 4 or more team members.  

A Race with Heart!

We are proud to support the Merrimac community.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the the Merrimac Holiday Helper Program, helping local families experience a brighter holiday season.  New this year, we'll also be collecting nonperishable food items for Our Neighbors' Table.  Please consider bringing a donation to help support local neighbors in need.  

Bring your Holiday Spirit!

Dig out your most outrageous ugly Christmas sweater, festive hat, or favorite holiday gear!  Prizes available for the best dressed participant, voted on by your peers.   

Whether you're running for a personal record, enjoying a holiday tradition, or supporting a great cause, Santa's Toy Trot is a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season.  Gather your friends and family, lace up your running shoes, and come trot with us!!!
