Children Participants?

5K: Children (girls) who are able to walk/run the 5K may participate—just sign them up accordingly, and a guardian over 18 must sign the waiver.

Sis Simpson Fun Run: The Baltimore Women’s Classic 5K presented by New Balance is very much a family affair. The Sis Simpson Fun Run  is a Co-ed Fun Run for children 8 years and younger is held at the conclusion of the 5K. Kids will run a .2 mile out-and-back course within Rash Field finishing under the arch. The emphasis is truly on FUN! You can register your kids when you register yourself.

The participants in the Sis Simpson kids Fun Run are divided into separate heats on race day based on age. Children under the age of 5 will run first, children under the 8 will run next (and YES! parents can accompany our younger runners.)

Both events are held at Rash Field on the opposite side of the track from where the 5K participants finish. Each Sis Simpson Fun Run participant finishes by running through an inflated finish line structure, where they receive a finisher’s medal.

Male Participants?

The Baltimore Women's Classic is a women-only race (the country's second oldest!). Men may not participate in the race, but we'd love to have them as volunteers. To register to volunteer please click the Volunteer link at the top of this page. For more information about volunteering please email
