April 11, 2020 will be a day for runners. It will be our city, our streets and, of course at the end of it all, our party! Join us for the Under Armour Sole of the City 10k presented by KELLY. We will run the streets of Baltimore and finish up at Charm City Run McHenry Row. We can’t wait to see you!

The option to register without a premium - Under Armour Tech 2.0 hoodie (men's), Under Armour Tech Full-Zip (women's) is available and the entry fee is $20 less.

Please be advised that at all packet pick-ups, a note of permission will be required to pick up someone else's packet.  We appreciate your cooperation with this.


Starting and finishing at McHenry Row, the 2020 course will visit scenic areas of Federal Hill, Downtown Baltimore, Harbor East, Harbor Point and the Baltimore promenade.


Water stops are located throughout the course. You will find them at:

Maryland Science Center (water only)
Eastern Ave. at Caroline (water only)
Harbor Point (water, restrooms, medical)
Maryland Science Center (water only)
And the finish!


Starting Corrals:

The letter on your race bib corresponds to your starting corral. Placement in corrals is determined by the estimated pace you provided during registration. All runners should be in their corrals by 8:15AM. If you wish to run with a person who has been assigned a different corral you may move back to a later corral, but not forward to an earlier position. Volunteers will be in place to help guide you to the correct corral on race day!

All runners walking from McHenry Row to the start must access their corrals via Porter Street - there will be no access from Whetstone Way (near the finish line).

Parking will be available on race day at several locations:

McHenry Row Parking Garage (very limited spots available). This garage is only accessible via Jones or Porter Streets.

Please note that access to McHenry Row from Key Highway will close to car traffic at 6:00am on race day.

Parking will be available in the Under Armour Lot on the Key Highway Extension across from Domino Sugar, as well as the Under Armour triangle lots off of Hull Street.

Street parking is also available in the surrounding areas, but please pay attention to all parking signs and be respectful of the neighbors.

Please leave our partners' properties better than you found them. To be able to use this parking is a huge benefit to the event and we want to have this privilege in 2020 and beyond. Please help us return all lots and spaces as we found them. Thank you!


Awards will be given as follows:

Top three overall males and females
Top male and female masters (40+)
Top three males and females in the following age groups: 11 and under; 12-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over.
Overall awards are calculated by gun time, and age group awards are calculated by net time. No double dipping.

Transfer and Deferral Policy:

We allow transfers and deferrals up until two weeks prior to race day. There is a $10 processing fee for both transfers and deferrals. The transfer processing fee is paid by the "new registrant" and the deferral fee is paid for by the "deferring registrant". If you choose to defer your registration until next year, we will send you a registration code post race that can be used to register for next year race. You may do both by going into your profile on and choosing manage registration. Transfers and Deferrals are not permitted after March 28th.

Event Beneficiary:

Reading Partners mobilizes communities to provide students in under-resourced schools with the proven, individualized reading support they need to read at grade level. With the vision that all children will have the literacy skills they need to reach their full potential, Reading Partners launched programming in Baltimore in January 2012, serving 41 students at Cherry Hill Elementary. Now, in their seventh year of programming within Baltimore, they are aiming to serve students in 15 Baltimore City elementary schools, with the support of 1,000 community volunteers. For more information about Reading Partners visit
