ChadTough Defeat DIPG Superhero Sprint & 6K

Sat May 15 - Mon May 31
The 6th Annual ChadTough Defeat DIPG Superhero Sprint & 6K, presented by Headfirst Summer Camps, is a fun and meaningful way to contribute to the fight against childhood brain tumors.

Typically, the main Superhero 6K event takes place in Maryland, with a 6K timed walk/run, a 1K walk/run, and a Tot Sprint. Due to COVID-19, this year's race will be entirely virtual. You may sign up to walk, run, or do the activity of your choice, on your own, anytime between May 15 - May 31.

You have two registration options:  (1) Virtual Runner With Shirt and (2) Virtual Runner Without Shirt.  Early Bird pricing is available for Virtual Runners With Shirts through Monday, March 8, 2021.
We will be working hard to get everyone their race shirts/packets by mail as quickly as possible.  Please see the details below on timing and deadlines.

The race was created in honor of Michael Mosier, a 6-year-old little boy from Bethesda, MD, who battled DIPG for 8.5 months before passing away in May 2015. This year is our 6th Annual Superhero 6K event, which has special significance as we mark 6 years since Michael passed away. It has been an honor for this event to include many dozens of childhood cancer families over the years, and we can't wait to welcome back so many of supporters who participate in honor of many special childhood cancer fighters.

Michael Mosier Defeat DIPG Foundation established and hosted the Superhero 6K for the past 5 years.  In January, we announced the exciting news that we have joined forces with The ChadTough Foundation and now are united as one organization:  ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation. Our mission remains the same. All proceeds from the race will benefit ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds for childhood brain cancer research, with an emphasis on DIPG.

Brain tumors are the leading cause of childhood cancer death for children and adolescents under the age of 19.  And, DIPG (diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma) is the most lethal form of pediatric brain cancer.  There is now hope for progress in the battle against DIPG, and your participation can make an impact and help save these kids' lives!

Our highest priority is the safety and health of our supporters and community.  We are disappointed to not have the in-person event, but we are eager to see your pictures and videos of your virtual runs!

Stay safe and healthy, and thank you for your support.
