Virtual Commit to Community
Description
This year the Commit to Get Fit will become the Commit to Community, Supporting Victims of Violence and Abuse. While the name is changing, the event itself will still take place in September and include the Kids Obstacle Course, 5K Walk, 5K Run, and 10K Run. All money raised through this event will fund the St. Joseph Hospital's Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) program. Every participant, every donor, and every sponsor will be helping people in eastern Maine who require help from the hospital's SAFE nurses.

Help Raise Funds for the SAFE Program and Get Some Great Prizes!
We have made it easy for you to become a fundraiser for the St. Joe's SAFE program. If you raise a minimum of $100 for the St. Joe's SAFE program by midnight on June 30, your registration fee will be waived. The fundraiser who has raised the most money by June 30 will receive two suite tickets to a Maine Savings Waterfront Concert of their choice occurring during the remainder of the outdoor concert season.
This year those who raise $250 or more will receive a Commit to Community cotton baseball cap, those raising $500 or more will receive a deluxe Commit to Community 22 ounce insulated aluminum water bottle, and those raising $1,000 or more will receive their choice of a premium cotton sweatshirt or windbreaker.
Every gift made will support victims of sexual assault and provide greater outreach and education in our community to prevent sexual and domestic assault. Asking folks to contribute through the secure online giving tool is easy. Participants can personalize their fundraising pages and share them through their social media platforms.
Event Shirts
The Commit to Community event shirts will be given to all who register. Those registering on before August 5th will be assured of receiving a shirt in their size. Those registering after August 5th will receive a shirt, but event organizers cannot guarantee shirt sizes after August 5th.Organizers will do their best to estimate how many additional shirts (and in what sizes) are required, but, as we get closer to event day, there may be no shirts left for those who register too close in time to the event.
