Description
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to run 5 kilometers through 300 years of American history! Back by popular demand, the Beaumont Red October Run will return to the beautiful and historic Greenfield Village in 2018! Featured events include a 5K run, 5K walk and non-competitive 1 mile “Jr. October” for kids 12 and under. (5K course is now USATF certified. Strollers, baby joggers, wagons, etc. will not be permitted on 5K course.) Commemorative swag includes sharp shirts and finisher medals for runners, walkers and junior milers; and event-customized, name personalized number bibs for 5K runners and walkers. (Jr. Milers all receive event-customized number “1” bibs.) Additional amenities and highlights include separate starts and award structures for 5K runners and walkers; B-tag timing with immediate access to results; cider, donuts and other yummy post-race treats; fit and healthy displays; and, new for 2018, FREE PARTICIPANT PHOTOS! Bonus: all registered participants receive FREE POST-RACE ADMISSION to Greenfield Village! Race capacity will be limited to 1500. Last year’s event was a sellout. Runners & walkers, please note: Because there are award structures for both events, those registered for the 5K walk must WALK every step of the way. If you would like to mix running with walking, please make sure you register for the 5K run. (It's okay to walk during the 5K run, but it is NOT okay to run during the 5K walk.
