Run for Rob 5k

Race for Rob-Rob Hecksel has his roots planted deeply into the Lansing community. He is a Lansing Catholic alumni, Holy Cross/St. Gerard parishioner, and retiree of the Lansing Fire Dept. just to name a few. He has devoted his life to his family, his faith, and his community. Alongside MaryRose, his wife of 25 yrs, they have raised 3 beautiful daughters. Rob is a few classes away from obtaining his bachelor's degree in social work. Unfortunately, he had to put this on hold when he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on Feb 17, 2017. He is blessed to be part of the 20% of patients diagnosed with pancreatic cancer who are able to have surgery to remove it. Dr. Cho from U of M Cancer Center has taken Rob's case and is leading his treatment. Rob's family has had the added expenses of driving to and from Ann Arbor and staying in hotels while Rob was healing. This is the time to rally around him just as he has his community.If you are unable to participate in the race. we are graciously accepting donations and prayers.
