Super Bowl 5k

Kick off your Super Bowl Sunday with a 5k run/walk thru beautiful Downtown Lansing in front of our State Capitol! Run a fast accurate race, stay healthy and fit and then go and enjoy your Super Bowl Party!

Location: The start and finish of the race is in front of the Michigan State Capitol Building.

Start Time: 10 AM

Entry Fee: $35 from February 2nd to to February 10th  T-shirts available while supplies last. 

Youth pricing: Ages 19 and under are only $20 until February 1st, includes a t-shirt. $25 from February 2nd to 8th, T-shirts available while supplies last.

Packet pick up:  Saturday February 10th from Noon to 5 pm at Central United Methodist Church 215 N Capitol Ave Lansing. You are able to pick up packets for family and friends on their behalf. It is a great idea to come to Downtown Lansing on Saturday and pick up your bib # and shirt so on Sunday morning you can stay in your warm car and hop out 10 minutes before the race and head to the start. There is ample free parking in Downtown Lansing on Saturday.

Race day packet pickup: will begin at 8:30 am to 9:45 am at Central United Methodist Church 215 N Capitol Ave Lansing.

Results: Your accurate chip time and current overall and age group place will be texted to your phone and live on this site. 

Age Group Awards:  Medal to 1st, 2nd and 3rd in age groups: 12 & under, 13-14, 15-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+    

Overall Awards: Medal and $25 Playmakers gift certificate to Male and Female Overall and Master (Over 40) winner.

Awards will be available race day starting at 10:30 am.

Team Race: Create a team of 4 or more and compete in the team competition. Teams need to have a minimum of 4 to be in the competition. The team with the fastest 4 times win. A trophy will be given to the top COED Team, All Male Team and All Female Team. Runners in the team race are also eligible for age group awards. Team Race FAQ

Course: This is a 2 loop course. The start and finish is on Capitol Ave in front of the State Capitol.  This will be an accurate and fast 3.1 mile course on the streets of Downtown Lansing. Your results will include your time for the first loop. After the race you will be able to see how evenly paced you ran the race!   Course map and description.

SNOW! If there is snow the morning of the race the course will be plowed and salted!

Parking:  Parking is free on all downtown streets on the weekends.  Park along Michigan Ave and Washington St., or the side streets along Washington. The 2 lots in front of the Lugnut Baseball Stadium on Michigan Ave. and the lot at the Lansing Center on the corner of Michigan Ave. and Cedar St. are free on the weekends, you may come and go as you please with no need for a permit. 

Proceeds from the race go to support High School and Middle School Cross Country and Track programs, and Youth Running Clubs through the Michigan Running Foundation grant program.
