All of the proceeds go to support youth running in Michigan. The Michigan Running Foundation (501c3 non-profit organization) gives out grants, upwards of $30K to $60K annually, to support High School and Middle School Cross Country and Track programs, Youth Track Clubs, pay to play scholarships, Cross Country Camp scholarships to help students attend the camp if they cannot afford to go.
Parking is free on all downtown streets on the weekends. Park along Michigan Ave and Washington St., or the side streets along Washington. The 2 lots in front of the Lugnut Baseball Stadium on Michigan Ave. and the lot at the Lansing Center on the corner of Michigan Ave. and Cedar St. are free on the weekends, you may come and go as you please with no need for a permit.
Yes, on Saturday February 7th from Noon to 5 pm at Central United Methodist Church 215 N Capitol Ave Lansing. You are able to pick up packets for family and friends on their behalf. It is a great idea to come to Downtown Lansing on Saturday and pick up your bib # and shirt so on Sunday morning you can stay in your warm car and hop out 10 minutes before the race and head to the start. There is ample free parking in Downtown Lansing on Saturday.

The start and finish is on Capitol Ave in front of the State Capitol.
The course is a 2 loop course. You'll start and finish on Capitol Ave in front of the State Capitol. It's an accurate and fast 3.1 mile course on the streets of Downtown Lansing. Your results will include your time for the first loop. After the race you will be able to see how evenly paced you ran the race! Course Map is located on the main race info page.
If there is snow, or ice, the morning of the race the course will be plowed and salted! The race will go on! Allow yourself plenty of time to arrive at the race safely and find a parking spot.
Yes, inside Central United Methodist Church at 215 N Capitol Ave Lansing there are plenty of bathrooms to use prior to the start of the race. This is where race day packet pickup is held. It is a short walk to the start/finish line.
No. For the safety of the participants and the dogs we ask that you not bring your dog.
The first 500 participants will receive a finishers medal. T-shirts are guaranteed with registration thru Sunday, January 25th. All participants will receive a commerative race bib.

Yes prior to 1/25. There are no size changes after 1/25. To change your size go to RunSignup.com and login, select the person icon in the upper right hand corner, select Profile, go to Upcoming Races, select Manage Registration. Here you are able to edit your Giveaway/T-shirt size.
Yes, you can register the morning of the race. All registrations must take place online. We'll have a QR code at packet pickup for you to scan and register on your phone. After you register head to race day packet pickup to get checked in.

Yes, after the race we'll have bottled water and snacks for participants. There is no water along the course, please bring your own for the course.

No, there are no refunds.
This event will be held rain, snow, or shine, there are no refunds for this event. As you can imagine there is a lot of planning that goes into an event and costs associated with the event. T-shirts, awards, refreshments, etc. all have to be ordered ahead of time. If the race is cancelled for any reason, including weather, we will be unable to offer refunds, or if your plans change and you already signed up we are unable to offer refunds. If we have to cancel the race will be virtual. Which means you run on your own at your own course on a day that works for you.
