Run for Camp 5K Trail Run & Walk presented by Howard Miller

Camp Geneva, Camp Henry, and Camp Roger have joined together to raise money to send kiddos to camp. All three camps have a long history and major commitment to making a summer camp experience accessible to all children and families – regardless of their ability to pay. Over the past four years between the three of our camps we have provided over $1 million in scholarship assistance to make summer camp a reality for families in financial need. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to benefit from an amazing, positive, loving, fun-filled, and life changing Christian camping experience. We have joined together to host the run for camp – a 5k trail run being held on Saturday, October 12 at Camp Henry in Newaygo, MI. 

Event Information:
The Run for Camp 5K Trail Run is a chip timed race.  Costumes are welcome but not required.  Awards will be given for both performance and costumes. Each registered runner will receive a race shirt and a pumpkin.

• 9:00: Registration Open 
• 10:00: 5K Run & Walk begins
• 11:00: Award Ceremony
• Fall Activities Open once the Award Ceremony concludes

Cost:
22 & up: $20 
21 & under: $15 
Family Pricing: $50 for 3 or more from the same household
Group/Team Pricing: 6-10 runners is $12 per person, 11-15 runners is $11 per person, 16+ runners is $10 per person

The race surface for the 5K Trail Run (and Walk) is 95% natural with a quick jaunt through a paved area. The trails are well marked and natural obstructions, like roots, are spray painted for safety. The most common surfaces are grass, durable natural pathways, and dirt.

The 5K Trail Run will provide you with the opportunity to take in the sights Camp Henry has to offer as you wind through the scenic trails on Camp Henry's 212 acres. The 5K Trail Run will be timed and awards will be given.

The 5K Trail Walk is perfect if you are interested in getting out, getting fit, and enjoying a beautiful morning on the trails. It will follow the same route as the 5K Trail Run. The 5K Trail Walk is a leisurely event so there is no pressure.

Everyone is welcome! Although, please do leave your dog(s) at home.

Do you want to participate but can't make it the day of the event - or live out of state? Join us for the Virtual Race and run a 5K wherever you are sometime during the month of October. Register for the Virtual Race, then email your run details (date, location, finishing time) and a picture to info@camphenry.org. All virtual runners will receive a race shirt. Awards will be given in the Virtual Race Category once a minimum level of 5 participants is reached.

T-shirts guaranteed for all events if registered by October 2.

Packet Pickup/Late Registration: Packet pickup will begin at 9:00 am on October 12 at Camp Henry. Late registrations are welcome at that time.
