Description

DATE: Saturday, September 7th

The 9/11 run is to honor those who lost their lives in the September 11th, 2001 terror attacks, as well as Local First Responders and Veterans. Proceeds will go to the Grand Traverse Region Public Safety Alliance. This non-profit fund was set up to recognize emotional wellness for our first responders (Police, Fire, EMS, Emergency Management, 911 Dispatchers and Coast Guard) and offer programs and support for those going through PTSD.

We welcome all Runners, Walkers, Wheelchairs and Dogs.

The race start is at 9:30AM. We will gather before the race for a quick ceremony to remember and honor the events of that day many years ago and then show our spirit with an amazing run!

Prizes will be given to Men's and Women's Overall 1st-3rd place and 1st place age group winners.

Did you say after party? Why yes, State Street Market will be opening early for all race participants! Live music from Matt Phend will entertain the crowd while The Market Bar, Midland Burger Co, Crepes & Co, TC BBQ and Grind Coffee Co will be open with amazing food & beverages. State Street will donate $1 for every beer poured to the Grand Traverse Public Safety Alliance. Come out and celebrate with your fellow runners! https://www.statestmarketplace.com/

TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE

Running Fit of Traverse City is offering a $100 Gift Card to the person or company that makes the largest donation and a 15% discount to any runner that comes into the store with their race bib!

You must register online before 8/17 to receive a t-shirt.

All proceeds will go to the Grand Traverse Region Public Safety Alliance. This brand new non-profit fund was set up to help Local First Responders (Police, Fire, EMS, Emergency Management, 911 Dispatchers and Coast Guard) to create programs for emotional wellness and those suffering from PTSD. We cannot lose another valuable life and must protect those who protect us every day. We are thankful for your participation and if you can donate anything extra, your funds will support our first responders.
