Description

The St. Louis region's largest and oldest Thanksgiving Day run gets set for its 38th Annual edition. Going virtual for 2020, you can still race 3 or 6 miles, and this year you can add a Challenge to your Turkey Day celebrations! We're giving you a week, November 20th through November 26th, to run your race or races (3M or 6M) and/or log as many miles as you can through the Challenge. We even upped the swag this year offering a hoodie for all of those taking on the Challenge!

Keep an eye on the leader boards, get your races in and log your miles as you and your loved ones continue your favorite Thanksgiving tradition! Start off your holiday season right with some exercise, leaving you guilt-free to enjoy Thanksgiving and justify your pie!

What is a virtual race, and how does it work?

A virtual run/ride event is similar to a traditional running event except that the participant completes it on their own. There is not a required location where the event must be completed nor a mandatory time (you have a full week to complete your event). A virtual run event creates positive motivation to get outside, be active, and give back to the community.

Participants first choose the distance they’d like to run, just as they would during a live running event. Once you choose your virtual event and complete your registration, the next step is to conquer the distance you signed up for to earn your swag! The 3M or 6M distance can be completed at any location and at any time of the day; the choice is completely up to you. Also, there is no time limit during which the distance must be covered in, and you can split up the distance between multiple days if needed. The important thing is to finish the event, complete the distance, and have fun. Once finished, simply go online and submit your time to be included in the race results page.

If you've chosen to take on the challenge, you will have one week to log as many miles as you can. See how many miles you can rack up running, jogging, walking or hiking and burn some calories before your Thanksgiving feast! Check the leader board to see how you stack up to the competition or set a goal, maybe 1 mile a day for 7 days and see if you can do it!
