The short story is this, racers: The 2020 MO’ Cowbell is going virtual.
Some of you may have seen this coming. Some of you (like us) may have been holding out hope that this event could still happen in real-time. But all of us have been dealing with 2020. And the MO’Cowbell was no exception.
But here’s the good news: We have taken some inspiration from all of you. All of you who overcome the odds, who battle through adversity. All of you who take on a challenge.
So, in 2020, we are offering something that goes beyond just a timed race.
We are thrilled to offer The Chuck Challenge!
Why take The Chuck Challenge?
A virtual run/walk event is similar to a traditional running/walking event except the participant completes it entirely on their own. There is not a required location that the event must be completed nor a mandatory time. A virtual run/walk event creates positive motivation by helping everyone get outside running to stay active and healthy.
Participants first choose the distance(s) they’d like to run/walk, just as they would during a live running/walking event. Once you choose your virtual challenge and complete your registration, the next step is to conquer the distance you signed up for and earn the finisher medal(s). The distance(s) set by the challenge which you registered for can be completed at any location, and at any time of the day. The choice is completely up to you. Also, there is no time limit the distance must be covered in, and you can split up the distance between multiple days. The important thing is to at least finish the event, complete the distance, and have fun. Once finished, simply go online and submit your time to be included in the race results page!
