Description

Come to Helena and Swim in spring fed man-made lake. Bike out and back on a rolling 2-lane paved road. Run a flat fast course on trail, dirt road, and pavement. Enjoy wonderful people, beautiful scenery, and warm July weather.

Athlete Information

Greetings Athletes!

Thank-you for registering for the 2018 Spring Meadow Triathlon.  At this point, the weather looks perfect:  72 for a high.  


Packet Pickup will be at Capital City Health Club:
1280 N. Montana Ave (Across from Helena High School)
Saturday, June 30:  3pm - 6 pm.


If you live or are staying in Helena, please pick up your packet at this time.  There will be packet pick-up for those coming in Sunday morning at the race venue.


Race rules:


NO HEADPHONE ARE ALLOWED ON ANY PART OF THE COURSE.  This is a USA Triathlon rule and this is a USA Triathlon sanctioned race.  

On the bike, regular road rules apply.  Do not cross the double yellow. 
Do not ride side by side.
No drafting off the bike in front of you.
All passing is on the left and must be done within 15 seconds.
If passed, the overtaken cyclist must move out of the drafting zone.

3.3 General Conduct. At or during an event, or while at the event site, all participants must:
a. Act in compliance with these Competitive Rules;
b. Conduct themselves in a manner that is not offensive in any way to fellow participants, spectators, officials or
volunteers and is considered reasonable and acceptable in the community;
c. Treat all participants, officials, volunteers and spectators with fairness, respect and courtesy;
d. Refrain from the use of abusive language or conduct; and
e. After violating any of the Competitive Rules, report such violation to the Head Referee or retire from the
event. 


6.2 Knowledge of the Course. The responsibility of knowing and following the prescribed course rests with each
participant. 
  
The course will be marked, but it is still the responsibility of the athlete to know the course.


OLYMPIC COURSE:


Swim - 2 loops then to the swim exit.
Bike - 1 out and back - then 4 loops.
Run- 2 loops.

 

 


SPRINT COURSE:


Swim - 1 loop then to the swim exit.

Bike -  1 out and back - then 1 loop.
Run - 1 loop.
