We have an exciting update! This year's Mermaid Open Water Swim is now USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned.

This is a new opportunity that allows single-discipline events like open water swims to receive USAT sanctioning, providing participants with the added benefits and protections that come with competing in a sanctioned event.

As part of the sanctioning requirements, every participant will need to sign the official USAT Event Waiver at packet pickup before receiving their race packet.

To help make the process quick and easy, we've attached a PDF copy of the waiver for you to review in advance. We encourage you to read it ahead of time so you're familiar with its contents before signing at packet pickup.

Normally, USAT charges a one-day membership fee for participants in sanctioned events. We're pleased to let you know that Game On! Race Events is covering this fee for every Mermaid Open Water Swim participant at no additional cost to you.
