Your Pace or Mine Running Club (the “Club”) will not sell, share, rent, or otherwise disclose private information of registrants or volunteers of club events, including the Mill Towns Race Series, to other parties other than as disclosed in this statement. 

This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by the Club for the administration and marketing of Club events. This privacy policy is independent of the policy for RunSignUp, the platform the Club uses to host its event websites and facilitate transactions for those events. What information is collected from you and how it is used
The Club does not require registration to read its public event websites (e.g.: milltownraceseries.com), which are hosted by RunSignUp. Information we do collect is provided through transactions for:

• Event Registration: To participate in Club events, interested parties must create a RunSignUp account or log into an existing RunSignUp account, or complete an onsite registration form the day of the race. During account creation, users are required to give contact information such as name, address, phone number, and email address. They must also provide date of birth and sex, which are used by the Club (*and organizers of other events for which RunSignUp users register) to assign participants in the appropriate race division and age group for results reporting. No user data is provided to the Club until a RunSignUp user registers for a Club event.
• Donations: Individuals may opt to donate to the Club’s charity partners through our event websites. These transactions are completed through RunSignUp and its third-party payment processor. RunSignUp requires donors to provide contact information, including name, address, phone, and email address to complete the donation transaction. RunSignUp provides a digital receipt/confirmation of the transaction in accordance with IRS regulations. The Club receives donor’s contact information, the amount of the donation and any notes accompanying the donation transaction, such as memorial gifts. The Club is not provided, nor does it store, donors’ payment information. We obtain relevant personal information about donors lawfully and fairly. The Club does not sell, trade, or rent donor information, including email addresses, to others. If the Club receives a request for donor information, the Club will solicit donor permission via email prior to sharing any information.

RunSignUp is responsible for all payment processing, using its designated third-party payment processor. Users’ payment data is not shared with the Club.

Email Marketing
The Club primarily uses email to communicate about, and market, events. When RunSignUp users register to participate or volunteer for a Club event, users are automatically opted in to receive emails related to that event for the current year and into the future. The Club uses RunSignUp to store our email lists and for sending emails to registrants, and other contacts we have legally obtained. The Club does not sell its email lists to third parties. All recipients of Club emails may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in the footer of every email. Those who choose to unsubscribe will no longer receive communication for upcoming Club events for which they may be registered. 

Security
No sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number) is collected by the Club. The Club uses RunSignUp to process payments for event registrations, donations, sponsorships, and any merchandise sales. RunSignUp is solely responsible for the content and security of these transactions and safeguarding users’ payment information. The Club is not responsible for the security of the website and payment transactions. Please review RunSignUp’s privacy policy linked above.

The Club takes no responsibility for security breaches, phishing and other cybercrimes. 

Contests and Surveys
From time to time, we may request information from users via surveys or contests. Participation in these contests or surveys is completely voluntary, and thus the user has a choice to disclose the information requested. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the operations of Club events. Information from these contests and surveys may be combined with other information we have about you.

Sharing
We will share aggregated demographic information about participants in Club events with sponsors/advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person. The Club does not share registrants’ personal information with third parties, including sponsors. 

When someone signs up for a Club event, the necessary information (name, address, age) is shared with event personnel. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of producing the event. 

We will also share information to prevent fraud, to respond to a legal process, or as otherwise required by law.

Correction/Updating Personal Information
If a registrant’s information changes (such as an email address or physical address), that individual can update their RunSignUp profile to correct the Club records. 

Notification of Changes
If this privacy policy changes, we will post notice of the change on the Mill Towns Race Series’ homepage for at least seven days to make users aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If the Club decides to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, users will have a choice whether to consent to such use.
