Who is Mandy Jo? 

While many people exercise to maintain overall health and wellness, she does it—many times—just for fun. For Mandy Jo Rindhage, walking doesn’t just keep her in top shape. It’s her passion. During her tenure as a volunteer group leader for training programs, she found her new love of pushing people of all ages to complete ten-mile races and half marathons. She’s been walking tall ever since. Literally.  

 In addition to making a healthy lifestyle for herself while she helps others do the same, competing in races allows her to travel nationwide—connecting with people and places she may not have otherwise encountered.

 Mandy Jo has combined her passion for walking and travel into a business where she helps women over 40 get fit so that they can feel accomplished & great in their bodies without working out like crazy. We do this with her PACE walking method and online training.

 

What is this challenge about?
This virtual “Challenge” is where participants walk over 31 days to reach a goal and/or compete with others over a period of time. Our Challenge invites walkers and runners to challenge themselves! We welcome solo participants and teams/groups of participants! Tell your co-workers, friends and family. Once you have five people on your team, you receive free entry! And now, we’re all in better health, together! 


Who is this challenge for? Do I have to walk all of my miles?

The object of this challenge is to complete it with only walking. We welcome runners to come and try “only” walking.


Do the miles have to be walked each day, or can for example if I choose the 2 mile challenge can I walk 4 miles in a day and skip a day?

Great question! Yes, you can complete your Challenge by doing the miles on any day. You don't have to walk  every day.

 

How do I submit my miles? 
All miles need to be submitted manually. Track your miles with any fitness device or app that you use, and follow the easy instructions.  You can enter them every day, or at the end of the 60 days, which would be November 1, 2020. It may be easier on you to enter them as you go! Note that entering your miles is optional, however you will be missing out on being on the Leaderboard, and if you are a part of a team, you’ll want to be sure your miles are included with their totals. Note that once a participant enters data, it takes about a minute to appear in the total results page.

 

When will I get my SWAG?
All SWAG will ship out at the end of the Challenge, which ends October 31, 2020, via USPS. There will be an extra shipping charge for all participants outside of the United States.
