Volunteer: Get a FREE RACE!
We would love your help as we make this race happen! We have many volunteer options, each only 2-3 hours of your time, and you'll get a FREE code to use for any of our future events! Please read through the descriptions and sign up for which one best fits! Here's a huge "THANK YOU!" In advance... :)
- Day Before (Oct. 9) - Packet Pick-Up (9:45 AM - 1:00 PM)
- Day Before (Oct. 9) - Packet Pick-Up (12:45 PM - 4:00 PM)
- Day Before (Oct. 9) - Packet Pick-Up (3:45 PM - 7:00 PM)
- Packet Pick-Up location not yet determined (check back soon for update). We'll have you sign in and teach you how to locate and pass out bibs and shirts!
- Bring: Water, snack
- Race Day (Oct. 10) - Early Volunteer Shift (4:45 - 7:30 AM)
- Help us set-up before the crowd rolls in, then we'll assign you to either:
- Pass out race packets
- Control crowds/traffic
- Monitor Bag Drop
- Venue Maintenence
- Come to "Volunteer Check-In" table on race day. We'll have you sign in and give you your assignment.
- Bring: Headlamp, Warm clothes, Gloves
- Help us set-up before the crowd rolls in, then we'll assign you to either:
- Race Day (Oct. 10) - Mid Volunteer Shift A (6:45 - 9:30 AM) **Only 4 Spots Left!**
- We'll have you help pass out water and gatorade to runners at Mile 2.7, then help:
- Pick up signs
- Come back to venue and monitor bag drop & help around venue.
- Come to "Volunteer Check-In" table on race day. We'll have you sign in and give you your assignment.
- Bring: Headlamp, Warm clothes, Gloves
- We'll have you help pass out water and gatorade to runners at Mile 2.7, then help:
- Race Day (Oct. 10) - Mid Volunteer Shift B (8:15 - 11:00)
- Help pass out race medals
- Hand out age group awards
- Monitor Bag Drop
- Venue Maintenance
- Race Day (Oct. 10) - Late Volunteer Shift (10:45 - 1:00 PM)
- Pass out race medals
- Monitor Bag Drop
- Venue Maintenance
- Event Cleanup
- Race Day (Oct.10) - Bike Aid (9:00 AM - Noon)
- Come to "Volunteer Check-In" table on race day. We'll have you sign in and explain your assignment. Basically you'll act as a race sweeper, following behind the runners to make sure everyone is accounted for. Your backpack will include basic first-aid supplies, water, electrolytes, glucose supplements, and a walkie-talkie or satellite phone to reach us in case of an emergency.
- Bikers start one hour after race begins. (Race starts at 7am).
- Bring: Mountain Bike (be skilled enough to ride with confidence), Helmet.
