RunningWorks 12-Hour Run presented by Henderson Ventures
Global Running Day (June 7, 2023) is just around the corner. This holiday is a worldwide celebration of running that encourages everyone to get up and get moving. Since the mission of RunningWorks is to improve the health and well-being of underserved communities, we use this holiday to raise awareness and funds to combat the health inequities impacting those experiencing homelessness or at risk of housing instability.
We envision a community where everyone has the opportunity to move beyond their comfort zone and prosper as their healthiest self. Join us Wednesday, June 7 from 8am – 8pm for the eighth annual RunningWorks 12-Hour Run!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
1. Sign Up
Register online and join RunningWorks staff, volunteers, community members and clients as we look to run, jog and walk as many miles as we can to raise awareness and financial support to combat health disparities in the community. Registration cost is $15.
2. Go the Extra Mile
Help raise awareness and financial contributions to support the resources and services offered by RunningWorks for Charlotte’s underserved community by raising funds via your individual and Team Fundraising pages. We hope you’ll consider joining us in our RunningWorks 12-hour Run Fundraising Challenge!
3. Run. Walk. Have Fun.
How far are you willing to run to raise awareness about health disparities in our community? Commit to running (or walking) anytime between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on June 7. Get out and run (or walk) where you are and track your miles. It doesn't matter if you run all your miles at once or in intervals throughout the day. The goal is just to get it done and have fun doing it.
