Description
Join runners and walkers around the state in the first NCRecr8 5k at Frank Liske Park in Concord. This event is hosted by Cabarrus County Active Living & Parks and is coordinated by the NC Recreation & Park Association with 11 additional hosts in communities across NC. All events are taking place on the morning of April 16, 2016. Join the fun and show support for parks and recreation!
This event will be timed by Agape Timing
Parking will be in the Hartsell Shelter parking lot and signs indicating parking for RECRE8 5k will be posted on the main park road leading vehicles to that site. All race participants will be able to enjoy free mini golf and paddle boats on the day of the event following the completion of the race.

More about the 5k Event
This event will help to promote parks and recreation in North Carolina. Funds raised will support participating parks departments and the advancement of recreation in our state. The 5K events will increase awareness of the North Carolina Recreation and Park Association and parks departments across the state, while furthering the mission of the organization.
Founded in 1944, the North Carolina Recreation & Park Association (NCRPA) is the premier nonprofit education and advocacy organization, dedicated to the advancement of the park, recreation and leisure professions in our state. NCRPA empowers park and recreation professionals and citizen board members through educational opportunities that enhance their ability to change lives and impact communities on a daily basis for the citizens of North Carolina.
