THE RACE

Join us in Lake Waccamaw for the Lake Waccamaw State Park Fatmucket Walk, Run or Ruck.
There are several events to choose from:
2 Mile | 5K Trail | 10K Trail | 5K Ruck | 10K Ruck

 Male Ruckers are required to carry 20-pound non-consumable weight, and 10 pounds for Females. 
All races start at the Lake Waccamaw State Park Visitors Center and takes participants through the straight, beautiful, long-leaf pine trees surrounded by the warm glow of fallen pine straw.  
Ruckers will use Lake Shore Trail, which passes through a variety of ecosystems, including pine forest and tall hickory trees, alongside grass beds in the lake that provide cover for a variety of fish and beside sandy beaches.

FATMUCKET SHIRT

Participants will receive a Fatmucket Race shirt if registered by January 24, 2025 and attend the event. The event is ordering extra shirts. If you register after January 24th, you can choose from remaining inventory.

 

FATMUCKET RUCK PATCH
Participants in the 5K Ruck and 10K Ruck will also receive a commemorative Ruck Patch.

All events start at the Lake Waccamaw State Park Visitors Center on State Park Drive. Participants will then go through the straight, beautiful, long-leaf pine trees surrounded by the warm glow of fallen pine straw.
