Oktoberfest 15K & 5K Sponsored by Novant Health Oceanside Family Medicine and the Joyce Irish Pub

Online registration closes Friday, September 27th at 5:00 pm. You can sign up Saturday at Outdoor Equipped in downtown Wilmington 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.

Also on Saturday, you can sign up at the fitness center in Brunswick Forest 3:00 - 4:00 pm.

Race day registration will be open until 7:45 am at the fitness center in Brunswick Forest. 

The Oktoberfest 15K & 5K sponsored by Novant Health Oceanside Family Medicine & The Joyce Irish Pub take place in the nicest planned community on the east coast! The courses are flat, picturesque and travel over paved running trails, across wooden bridges and through a nature area on a 1/3 mile long elevated boardwalk. The 15K features awesome Oktoberfest themed finisher medals, beautiful courses and long sleeved shirts. There are inside bathrooms and locker rooms available before and after the race. Yeah! The awards ceremony takes place in a park beside a small lake with prize drawings, adult beverages and good snacks and drinks.

NOTE: The Oktoberfest 5K is a USATF Certified course (USATF Certification #NC16047DF). If you want to see what you run on an exact 5K distance this is your chance. We're proud to say that one USATF 5K State Record has been set on our course with Grant Egley (age group 80-84) running a time of 34:08 in 2016!!  

Packet Pickup & Registration - Saturday, Sept 28th:

11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Outdoor Equipped in downtown Wilmington

3:00 - 4:00 pm: Brunswick Forest in the Fitness Center

Race Day Packets: 6:30 am - 7:30 am in the Fitness Center 2710 Brunswick Forest Pkwy, Leland NC 28451 

Post Race Awards Ceremony & Party:

After the race the awards ceremony takes place in a park like setting beside a small lake. There will be adult beverages thanks to the Joyce Irish Pub, good recovery food, prize drawings, a fun awards ceremony and our race sponsors there to show you their goods and services. It's a great way to celebrate your race! 

Race Timing: Timing will be done using the ChronoTag timing system (The same system used at the New York Marathon) provided by Brunswick Timing Services. Timing Tags are attached to your race number and remain there. Race Numbers MUST be worn on the front of the body.

15K Teams: Teams will consist of at least (4) and up to (8) members. Team members are still eligible for individual awards. After you register as an individual then you will be asked if you want to join a team as you progress through the registration process. Team awards are 2-deep based on cumulative time for the fastest (4) members of the team.

The race benefits the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center.
