Join us this Thanksgiving, Thursday November 28, for our 5th Annual Silver Creek Turkey Trot 5K!
Enjoy running on our cart paths that wind through the tranquility and beautiful mountain views of the Silver Creek golf course. The race may be only 3.1 miles long, but don’t be fooled: The hills with 400 ft gain and loss will make you earn your Thanksgiving feast!
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, all proceeds from the run will once again benefit the Meeting Place Mission. This 100% self-funded program has a long history of helping local people escape homelessness through providing emergency shelter, transitional housing, and rapid rehousing along with continual case management to ensure success. Over the past 7 years the success rate of people housed has been greater than 95%. Once families or individuals complete the programs at the Meeting Place Mission, they become successful contributing members of the community. The Mission’s goal is to give everyone willing to put in the work a successful opportunity for permanent housing.
This event will be professionally chip-timed by GateCity Race Timing! Event results will be posted on-site and online in real-time and will be updating as participants cross the finish line. Results will be "official" once the event is over.
Day-of Registration
Online registration will remain open until race day, but if you'd rather wait, you can still register in person on race day between 7:30 and 8:30am! The registration fee will be $45 and includes a T-shirt.
We will also have a door prize and 50/50 raffle with great prizes from HiTone Fitness, Silver Fork Winery, Bigfoot Climbing Gym and more!
Event Awards & Categories
Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each gender and age division as well as to the overall winners, male and female.
The age divisions are as follows: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

All packets must be picked up on race morning. My apologies for any inconvenience this causes!
Race day packet pick-up and registration starts at 7:30am. You must pick up your packet or register no later than 8:30am on race day.

Cancellations and Refunds
Above all else, we are striving to make this event as safe as it can possibly be for all our participants, volunteers, and staff. If you’re feeling unwell (or uncomfortable participating), we want you to be able to stay home and stay safe without feeling like you’re losing out. In order to make that happen, we are offering flexible options so participants can make responsible decisions based on their health.
Here are our options for registered participants who can’t make it to the race:
TRANSFER TO ANOTHER PARTICIPANT: You can transfer your registration to another participant for a $10 fee before November 22nd at midnight. After that date, you can switch your registration to the virtual event.
SWITCH REGISTRATION FROM IN-PERSON TO VIRTUAL: You can transfer your in-person registration to a virtual registration for free at any point before the race.
REFUNDS: Due to the expenses we are incurring this close to the race, we are unfortunately unable to give refunds.
CANCELLATION: If we have to cancel the event for any reason, all ‘in person’ event registrations will automatically be converted to the Virtual event.
