New Date: TBD
The owner of the Triangle Triathlon (Inside-Out Sports) has made the decision to postpone the Triangle Triathlon until 2021.
We along with the folks at Inside-Out Sports have been attempting to re-schedule the race for a alternate date this year, but it’s just not possible for a number of reasons.
Everyone currently registered for Triangle will automatically be deferred to the 2021 race. There is nothing that registered participants need to proactively do – this deferment is automatic.
We hope people understand that we will not be offering a refund option.
This is consistent with our normal policy regarding event postponements. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.
Thanks for your patronage and we look forward to the day when we can get back to the business of staging endurance events.
Event #8 in the 2020 North Carolina Triathlon Series
NOTE: The Mini Sprint is NOT part of the NCTS for series scoring & awards
The Triangle Triathlon offers 2 separate events: the traditional Sprint Triathlon and the Mini Sprint Triathlon for novice triathletes and/or those new to open-water swimming. All participants will receive a completion gift at the finish line. Participants who sign up for the traditional sprint qualify for prizes awarded to the top 3 finishers in each category. Pricing and swag for both the Sprint and mini-Sprint are the same. Prizes for the top 3 finishers will also be awarded to Relay teams and Aquabike participants.
Sprint: Swim: 750 Meters - Bike: 17.6 Miles - Run: 5K
Mini-Sprint: Swim: 400 Meters - Bike: 10.75 Miles - Run: 1.5 Miles
NEW for 2020 - "No Shirt/No Swag" Registration Option
For 2020, participants will have the option of registering for a race at a discounted price and NOT receiving the race shirt and any “swag” given away at the race. If you opt to do this, select the registration category that fits you (Individual or AquaBike), and when you get to the stage during this registration process where you pick your t-shirt size – you’ll see a “No Shirt/No Swag” option – and the discounted amount.
If by chance, at a later date, you decide that you'd like to have the race shirt or swag, you'll be able to purchase a race shirt and the swag at the race site following the conclusion of the race. Be aware, that should you do this, the items will cost more than by purchasing them when you register.
1) Anyone registering after 5/16 WILL NOT receive a race shirt or swag
2) Relay teams do NOT have this “No Shirt/No Swag”option. All relay team members will automatically receive shirts and swag.
