Ready to get muddy? We sure are! The 20th Annual Little River Trail Runs are almost here—this Saturday, February 15! Below, you’ll find everything you need to know, including info for Virtual Racers, to have a smooth, fun race day. (Most important: carpool, carpool, carpool! )

Weather & Race Day Essentials
Forecast calls for chilly temps and drizzly — classic LRTR conditions! Mud makes it fun, but with temps at 38° by noon, be sure to bring warm clothes for post-race soup sipping.
Pro tip: Pack a towel, dry socks, and shoes for the ride home. Wet feet are guaranteed!

7K Race: 9:30 AM
👉 Late registration ($50, cc preferred) available at packet pick-up and on race morning. Shirts not guaranteed for late registrants.
Virtual Racers: Both the 7k and 10 mile courses will be marked through Noon on Saturday, 2/15. You have until February 2/22 to upload your results. Follow this link to see how to submit your results.
Parking & Carpooling
Carpool if you can! Wet conditions mean some usual parking spots are off-limits.
Arrive early and follow our awesome parking volunteers’ instructions. Races start on time—if you roll in late, you may be briefly diverted for safety.
Race Day Details
Start line is near the park entrance off Guess Road. Be mindful of traffic!
Courses are well-marked:7K → Blue flags
10 Mile → Orange flags
Much of the course is single-track trail—passing requires patience. Say “On your left!” if overtaking.
Bridges may be icy/slippery—walk them for safety.
No headphones —stay alert, stay safe.

The 20th Annual Little River Trail Runs will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Little River Regional Park in beautiful Rougemont, North Carolina. We have two race distances - 10 miles and 7 kilometers. Both races are run primarily on well-marked single track, and we'll have race volunteers and three aid stations along the course. As always, all proceeds from the races go towards support and maintenance of the park and trail system for the community.
