St. Sebastian Kids' Shuffle

The St. Sebastian Kids' Shuffle is designed to give kids ages 4-12 an opportunity to encourage fitness for all youth. In this inaugural year we hope to reach as many kids as possible in the Sandhills Community. There will be two categories; 4-6 year old and 7-12 year old. Both shuffles are Co-ed. The 4-6year old "Littles Shuffle," will be held in the parking lot of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, around a coned oval area and is free. Littles will run for 10 mins around this area and receive a bead for each completed lap. The 7-12 year old shuffle will encompass the block (E. Vermont, Broad Street, E. Connecticut and May St.) around Southern Pines CrossFit Gym and St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Shufflers will have 15 mins to complete as many laps around the block in 15 mins and also receive beads upon the completion of every lap.

The race will be held on Saturday February 10th at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Race time is 10:00am. Proceeds from this year's inaugural shuffle will benefit the Athletic Department of St. John Paul II Catholic School in Southern Pines and The Parent Teacher Organization of the school. All monies made from the event will be split between the PTO and Athletic Department. Last year, a restricted account was set up for the refurbishment of the AC floor. The Athletic Department’s portion will go directly into this account.

The goal of this event is to establish and improve healthy lifestyles for our students and the Sandhills community at large. Teens and adults are encouraged to participate in the St. Sebastian Smackdown happening at Southern Pines CrossFit Gym on the same day.
