Bart Yasso Attends Wilmington Historic Half & 5K

You may know Bart Yasso as the “Mayor of Running” the now retired Runner's World Chief Running Officer—the man who seemingly cheers on every runner across every finish line of every marathon. Join him in Wilmington he will share lessons, wisdom, and insights learned from running in more than 1,500 races near and far. Experience firsthand not only how Yasso’s training tips and practical advice make us all better runners, but also how his infectious spirit and love of life make us all better people.  Adding to his induction into the Running USA Hall of Champions Yasso was recently inducted into the Road Runners Club of America Distance Running Hall of Fame.  Bart will be speaking at the Health & Fitness Expo on Friday and will also be announcing and cheering you on race morning.

Beautiful and big 3D finisher medals and Unique Long Sleeve Tech Shirts created specifically for our event.  Unisex sizing and are very true to size for men, while I'd recommend women going down one size smaller.  The red sleeve is for the half marathon and the blue accent for the 5K.  Want both?  Run the Challenge!  We will also be giving a surprise swag item at the finish line this year!  (1 per bib/finisher - if you run the challenge you will receive 1 after the Half Marathon)

Strava is the social network for athletes and it keeps us all connected and encouraged!  Click here to join the group Coastal Race and connect with our team and hundreds of runners that participate in many of our events.  You may also join the Wilmington Historic Half & 5K Event on Strava.  This race specific event will be helpful and encouraging for all participating at the event race day but also those who cannot be there in person but have decided to run it virtually.  You'll almost be there!
