The Arc of Wilson County

The Arc of Wilson County is a 501(c)3 promotes and supports activities in Wilson County that benefit the lives of citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) living in the community;

• To support the activities of the state and national organizations;
• To work within the Wilson County community to develop programs that will benefit the citizens with I/DD;
• To further develop programs in the future to benefit all citizens with I/DD.

We achieve this mission through social programs designed to promote inclusion, advocacy, and self confidence for all of our participants, from the ages of 0 to 99, and their caregivers. 

The Wilson Gobble Wobble

• The Wilson Gobble Wobble is our annual fundraiser. All of the proceeds go to benefit The Arc of Wilson County and its programs. 
• The Wilson Gobble Wobble 5K and 1-mile family fun run, walk, or wobble is open to people of ALL AGES & ABILITIES
• The Wilson Gobble Wobble was started as a way for families to start their Thanksgiving off with a little exercise together so they could enjoy guilt-free turkey (or any other Thanksgiving meal) during the holiday

Registration Fee:

5K Run/Walk: $35

1-Mile Fun Run, Walk, or Wobble: $30

Registration

• Online registration will be used until we reach capacity or until the event starts.
  • Everyone will begin at the same time; runners will be in the front and walkers will be in the back.
  • No matter if you are running or walking, if you have a stroller you must start in the back. The is for everyone's safety. 
• Registration will be available using RunSignUp.
  
  • Race Day Registration will require using RunSignUp to pay by card.
  • There will not be cash payment options for the 5K or the 1-mile event.

Event Swag

• Shirts will be available as an optional additional purchase.
• *NEW*  We will have reusable sports water bottles for an additional charge of $10. These water bottles are perfect for the gym or a walk, run or bike ride around Wilson. 

Awards

• Top 3 Male and Female Finishers in the following age groups: 10 & under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over
  
  
• Golden Turkey -The Group or Team that raises the most money for the Arc of Wilson County will receive the coveted Golden Turkey award at the end of the race, followed by a group or team photo that will be posted on our website and social media!

Packet Pick-Up Event

Participants can pick up their packets during this time. 

• November 24th - 9am-6pm at 405 Nash St W, Suite 201 Wilson, NC 27893
• November 25th - 9am-6pm at 405 Nash St W, Suite 201 Wilson, NC 27893
• November 26th - 9am-4pm at 405 Nash St W, Suite 201 Wilson, NC 27893

Once your bib is picked up, it will be your responsibility to bring it on race day!

Shirts will be available for late registration for an additional fee. Also, we will not have previous years' shirts available on race day either. So be sure to sign up early to ensure you have a Gobble Wobble Race Day shirt.
