What is the Deacon Dash?
This will be our 9th annual 3-2-1 Deacon Dash for Down Syndrome and we are all excited to be back together again! The 3-2-1 Deacon Dash for Down Syndrome is a 5K race fundraising event with an extra .11 mile added for a 3.21 total distance for the awareness and support of individuals with Down syndrome! Most people have 2 copies of 23 different chromosomes, but individuals with Down syndrome are born with 3 copies of the 21st chromosome (the medical term for this is Trisomy 21).
Please join us on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Fun Run starts at 9:00 a.m. and 5K starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds.
T-Shirt Pick-Up
You can pick up your t-shirt and race bib the day before the race or on race day morning at these times:
Pre-Race Day Packet Pickup March 20th At Fleet Feet. Pick up your race day packet which includes your bib number and t-shirt. You will be race ready for Saturday morning!
Friday, March 20 from 4–6 PM
Fleet Feet - Winston-Salem - 278 Harvey St
Plus, every participant gets a FREE small scoop of ice cream at Buddy Scoops on race day, just show your bib at Buddy Scoops Ice Cream after the race!
Race Day Packet Pickup which includes your bib number and t-shirt at the race site (Winston-Salem Fairgrounds off Shorefair Dr. Gate 7) on Saturday, March 21st from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
