Runners who choose to participate in the PLATINUM or GOLD Challenge will be entered in the 5K on Saturday, April 25, at 9AM, as well as the MARATHON or HALF MARATHON distance on Sunday, April 26 at 7:30AM. Challenge finishers will take home three custom medals in total, one for each distance + one for completing the challenge (a custom platinum or gold medal!). Last year's custom spinning medals are getting a serious upgrade! (BLING might be an understatement).
Register for the Gold or Platinum Challenge by first selecting the Sunday event of Full or Half Marathon. Then as you progress through your single registration, the Challenge Add-on will be available for you to select — One entry, one payment!
The NJM offers two team opportunities:
SOCIAL COED TEAM: For Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K runners, there is a SOCIAL COED TEAM opportunity (non-competitive) to join with family, friends, and co-workers to motivate and inspire each other to the finish line.
RELAY TEAM: For Marathon Relay runners, teams compete as All Male, All Female or Coed teams. Awards are detailed on the main web pages. Relay teams are not able to be rostered on a social team, but can choose team names to align with a specific social team.
For either - if you are the first to register, you will become the Captain and create the team name. Provide that team name to your teammates and direct them to use the Join a Team choice. Captains can review the RunSignUp help screens to learn how to use of the great team admin tools, including invite a runner, check the roster, etc.
Please note, Sunday events are point-to-point. You can review transportation opportunities on the main web pages. There are limited seats offered on buses leaving early Sunday morning from Jacob J. Javits Convention Center in NYC for runners, family and friends. Bus tickets are available for purchase as you complete your race entry. On Sunday, there is also finish-area parking available for purchase at Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park as you register (remember- the race doesn't offer participant transport to the start from this parking area.)
Saturday events have free parking available at Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park adjacent to the start-finish area.
