The 2021 Virtual Symposium for nonprofits, event directors, and timers focuses on helping fundraising event organizers now, as events return and flourish.
Fundraising and endurance events are BACK. From local community happy hours to road races with 30,000+ participants, events are popping up throughout the remainder of 2021. But technology, expectations, and processes have changed since 2019, and time is short to get caught up and get your events on the calendar.
Our third full Virtual Symposium consists of two jam-packed days of educational sessions, with concurrent tracks for endurance race professionals, timers, and nonprofit organizations. Whether you're a seasoned race director of a nationally known half marathon, a timer working with 50+ local events, or a nonprofit looking for new ways to engage supporters with your organization, there's something for you.

Summer of Joy Virtual 5K
Join us for the Summer of Joy Virtual 5K for a firsthand experience of an interactive race experience for your virtual, hybrid, and in-person events.
Participation Options
Run the 5K!
Complete your 5K on Thursday any time between 5:30am to 11:30am EST. Using the RaceJoy App will allow you to tap into an audio experience, complete with pre-loaded audio messages and real-time spectator cheers, and will then submit your virtual results for you! All registrants of the Symposium are automatically registered for the 5K; no additional steps required. Runners and walkers welcome!
Spectate the 5K!
Prefer to sleep in? No problem. You can still tap into the RaceJoy experience as a spectator by downloading the app and testing out the tracking and cheer-sending features for the runners out on their personal race courses.

Timer Certifications
Tuesday is dedicated to race timers only, with RaceDay Certifications in RaceDay Scoring and/or RaceJoy. Because of the setup required for the Certification program, timers must register separately for each Certification, in addition to the general Symposium Certification. Registration for each Certification can be found below.
