Join the Find Your Path Virtual Walk/Run to support Promising Pathways Scholarships for students in need! Starting on April 3, National Walking Day, choose your favorite path and walk or run 1, 3, and/or 5 miles any day and time that is best for you by May 5. Register for one event or more events. After finishing a walk or run, participants can enter their results or simply indicate they have finished their event(s) (more details are included in the registration confirmation email).

PRIZES

When the walk/run ends on May 5, there will be six random drawings that will include a pair of sneakers (donated from Fleet Feet), a Cotopaxi hiking drawstring bag ($50 value), Bombas socks ($50 value), an Aerlang massage pressure gun, and two $50 gift cards from Amazon, Target, or Starbucks (includes companies that offer college tuition assistance to their employees and/or contribute to poverty and inequality initiatives):

• All registrants will be entered in 3 drawings for one of the 6 prizes 
• All individuals who give a donation will be entered in a 4th drawing for the prizes
• The 12 winners with the fastest walking and running times in each category (by gender) will be entered in a 5th drawing for the prizes
• Participants who share their walk/run path photos on social media with the hashtag #findyourpathwalkrun and the race registration link will be entered in a 6th drawing for the prizes (each share equals another entry)

About Promising Pathways Scholarships

Promising Pathways Scholarships, run by the Seamone family, offers scholarships and free career coaching services to low-income students who are single parents or who are hard of hearing, and are enrolled in technical programs, two-year undergraduate degrees, or four-year undergraduate degrees in the U.S. Most recently we also added a scholarship to the Uganda Nursing School Bwindi (UNSB), a school our family visited in Africa in 2023. The aim of the funds and career coaching services is to help students facing additional barriers to completing their degrees. Higher education is considered the most reliable path to long-term economic security as well as other positive outcomes for individuals and their families. Ultimately postsecondary education leads to work with livable and sustainable wages and helps to break the cycle of poverty, both in the U.S. as well as around the world. In addition, scholarships to the UNSB help provide much needed healthcare to the Bwindi region in Uganda.
