9th Annual Hero 5K Run/Walk

We have sold out of our shirts. You are still welcome to sign up for our event, but if you sign up as of 12 noon on 11/2 you are not guaranteed a race shirt. You are welcome to stop back after the race to see if we have any leftover. It will be first come first serve. 

Tomorrow is race day!!

When you pull into the college from Paramus Road please go straight through the circle and make a right into parking lot A. Once you are parked please walk through the college to parking lot C (please take a look at the college map posted to our race page). This is a 5 minute walk. We will have signs and volunteers directing you. 

Check in will start at 730am. 

All registration is done online. No Cash or Checks will be accepted on race morning. 

We will have a bag drop available with bags for you to use. 

The race starts at 8:30am.

It is going to be a beautiful day !!!

Welcome to the HERO 5K 2024!  

The HERO 5K is held on the campus of Bergen Community College. (11/3, 8:30am start) 

2024 Grand Prix Event 

Come out November 3rd to support our Veterans on our scenic course. Strollers welcome, overall and age group awards.

First 300 people to register for the HERO 5K will get a shirt 

Overall AND Age group award winners will receive a HERO 5k pint glass! Picture below 
 

The Robert Dyer Kids 1K fun run is back! All kids under 7 years old can sign up for this 1k loop around the parking lot. Ending at our official finish line. All kids that register get a cape they can customize and a finishers medal!

 All the proceeds go to support the Veterans of Bergen Community College.

Awards for overall top 3 male and female. Male and Female Age group awards (top 3): 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 plus 

Early Packet Pick-up: Please stay tuned for details. Early packet pick up will be held the Friday before the event. 

Please note there is no early pick-up for the kids 1k. The kids get capes that they can customize race day. It is part of the fun!

Race Morning: 

Please enter the college (400 Paramus Road Paramus NJ) from Paramus Road. You will go straight through the circle and park on the top of parking lot A. There will be signs for you to follow.

Once parked please make your way over to the Buhler Challenger Science Center (Parking Lot C). This is where our runner’s village is. We will have volunteers directing you over to our village.   

Runner Check in is from 730am – 830am. We will have a bag drop available.

The Kids 1 K will start at 930am. Please note that check in for the 1K will be next to the bounce house (the kids’ village) Kids Village will open at 730am
