10th Annual Hero 5K Run/Walk

Welcome to the HERO 5K 2025!

Come out Sunday, November 2nd to support our Student Veterans for the 10th annual Hero 5K Run/Walk on the campus of Bergen Community College. Strollers welcome, overall and age group awards.

First 300 people to register for the HERO 5K will get a shirt

The Robert Dyer Kids 1K fun run is back! - All kids under 7 years old can sign up for this 1k loop around the parking lot. Ending at our official finish line.

All the proceeds go to support the Veterans of Bergen Community College.

Awards for Overall AND Age group winners

Awards for overall top 3 male and female. Male and Female Age group awards (top 3): 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 plus

Early Packet Pick-up: This year early packet pick up will be held on Thursday October 30th. At Road Runner Sports 65 E State Rt 4 Paramus NJ 07652, from 5pm - 7pm.

Please note there is no early pick-up for the kids 1k. The kids get capes that they can customize race day. It is part of the fun!

Race Morning:

Please enter the college (400 Paramus Road Paramus NJ) from Paramus Road. You will go straight through the circle and park on the top of parking lot A. There will be signs for you to follow.

Once parked please make your way over to the Buhler Challenger Science Center (Parking Lot C). This is where our runner’s village is. We will have volunteers directing you over to our village.

Event Agenda:

Runner Check In: 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM. We will have a bag drop available.
Hero 5K Starts: 8:30 AM
Kids 1K Fun Run: 9:30 AM . Please note that check in for the 1K will be next to the bounce house (the kids’ village) Kids Village will open at 730am

All participants including volunteers please park on the parking deck of parking lot A. Our village (check in) will be in fount of the Buehler Challenger & Science Center, marked as building 20 on our campus map. (about a five minute walk)
