Doc Liebeknecht Scholarship 5K Run/Walk

Join us for the inaugural Doc Liebeknecht Scholarship 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the Pennsville Historical Society & Museum. If you lived in Pennsville between 1960 and 1995 chances are good that you had Dr. Liebeknecht as your doctor. Doc has been a staple of the Pennsville Community for decades providing grade school vaccinations, high school physicals, and was the high school doctor for football games and wrestling matches for PMHS. Doc had open office hours, made house calls all over Salem County and was part of the Salem County physicians’ weekend on-call coverage. The funds raised from this race will go towards a scholarship in his name for a PMHS Senior entering the medical field. The 5k begins and ends at the Pennsville Historical Society Museum on Church Landing Road. An easy out and back run or walk followed by an awards ceremony with food and drink at the Pennsville Historical Society site. All participants will receive a t shirt, drink, and the choice of a ham burger or hot dog during awards. We can't wait to see you there.

Day of Registration: $35

T-shirts to participants while supplies last. 

Out and back course through the scenic Riverview Beach Park, starting and finishing at the Pennsville Historical Society & Museum. Post-race party and awards ceremony with food and music.
