Description
The Waldwick Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce we will be hosting the 15th Annual Waldwick Chamber of Commerce 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk on Sunday, May 7, 2023. This year's race theme will highlight "National Lemonade Day". We will also partner with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation whose mission statement is to change the lives of children with cancer through funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer.

Our USATF-NJ sanctioned and Paul Miller Grand Prix event offers a fast, scenic course through Waldwick Borough Park and finishing on the high school track. Enjoy our 40 + motivational signs along the course. We know you'll love our special commemorative t-shirts, lemon designed medals, and most sought-after goody bags. Goody bags given to the first 400 registered runners or walkers. Special commemorative tech t-shirts "guaranteed" to those who register by April 28th. All others given while supplies last. This race has a special brand of race-day spirit and good karma. We hope you can join us for one of the most spirited races in New Jersey!
A portion of the proceeds from the W5K Run will be donated to The Christopher Goodell Scholarship Fund, The Staff Sgt. Joseph D’Augustine Memorial Fund, The Sean Fisher Foundation, Waldwick High School Scholarship Fund, Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation as well as a number of other community volunteer and veteran organizations. Last year, through the generous support of our sponsors, participants and volunteers we were able to donate $25,000 to 36 organizations within our community area. Always in our hearts, this race is dedicated to honor our fallen heroes: Marine SSgt. Joseph D’Augustine, Sgt. Christopher Goodell (WPD), and Marine Gunnery Sgt. Mark Hopkins.
As always we will continue to monitor New Jersey Health guidelines regarding COVID restrictions. Safety precautions will be addressed and implemented if needed. The health, safety and well-being of our runners, walkers, volunteers and spectators are first and foremost in our minds

As a way to commemorate our 15th Anniversary of the Waldwick Chamber of Commerce 5K Run we have created this event "Are you up for the Challenge?"
It's simple...Register here for the "Challenge". Beat your finishing time from last year's W5K Run on May 15, 2022 and you will receive a Commemorative Challenge coin
Rules to participate in the Challenge:
- Must be a registered runner in the 5K Run on Runsignup for the Challenge
- The cost $10.00
- Must have a recorded finishing time at the Waldwick Chamber of Commerce 5K Run which took place on May 15, 2022 http://www.bestrace.com/results/22/0515wl5.HTM
- The W5K Run Challenge Coins must be picked up at the Servpro awards tent post race. (We will not ship the coin)
- If your name has changed from the previous year please use the name listed in the finishing results from 2022. This way we can match your name up with this year’s results
- Proceeds from the Challenge will be donated to the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation
