Description
The 5th annual Rabbit Run will take place on Saturday, April 4th, 2026 at the Los Poblanos Open Space, Albuquerque, NM.
Join the most vibrant event in town this EASTER weekend!
EVENTS:
- 5K RUN/WALK: open to anyone, all registrants receive a custom hat, and once finished, a medal. It's professionally chip-timed.
- 1MILE: new addition to the Rabbit Run, open to anyone, all registrants receive a custom hat, and once finished, a medal. It's professionally chip-timed.
- EGG HUNT: For kids 12yo and under only. We will hide 2000 easter eggs stuffed with candy throughout the Los Poblanos Open Space. In intervals based on their age, we will let the kids go and hunt the eggs.
We will hide 3 big easter eggs along the 5k /1mile course, so pay attention along the way. More tips will be available closer to the event.
Bring along your partner, friend, child, neighbor, workmate, boss, or anyone deserving of some Easter fun! Referrals are now available.
Special prize for the best Easter-themed costume!
Strollers and dogs are welcome!
The event will feature on-site free photographer, music, snacks, and more!
RACE DAY ITINERARY:
- 7:30AM - 8:50AM Packet Pick-Up
- 8:50 AM - Group Warm Up led by a 2020, 2024 Olympian
- 9:00 AM -1 mile Start
- 9:05 AM - 5k Start
- 9:55 AM - Best Costume Award announced at
- 10:00 AM - Egg Hunt
AWARDS:
5k Race Awards (Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female in the following age categories: 0-5, 6-11, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+) pick up at the timing tent
Overall female and male winners will get additional prizes
RESTROOMS:
Restrooms are located in the parking lot southwest of the start line.

Parking available at the general Los Poblanos Open Space parking lot (GOOGLE MAPS LINK)

The Race Starts and Finishes at the Los Poblanos Field Trails (Tierra Viva PL NW and Montano), Albuquerque, NM 87107.
There is limited parking. An additional overflow parking option is on the dirt road next to the staging area.
