Taos Ski Valley Up & Over 10k Trail Run
Hosted on Saturday, the 20th Annual Up & Over 10K is notoriously challenging with many runners returning year-after-year to beat their PBs. There are many groups that run together; friends, co-workers, and whole families who want to take on the mountain. The course is a formidable and scenic 2,612’ climb from 9,321′ at the base, topping out at 11,819′. Expect amazing views of Kachina and Wheeler Peaks, followed by a technical descent through high alpine terrain.
ALL NEW! 20th Anniversary 20k
The Taos Ski Valley Up & Over Trail Run is raising the bar for our 20th Anniversary with a 20K challenge built for runners who crave serious altitude and even more attitude. This commemorative double-loop course packs a challenging 4,700 feet of vertical gain as you charge up rugged alpine trails, crest jaw-dropping ridgelines, and bomb down technical descents only TSV can deliver. It’s raw, it’s beautiful, and it’s absolutely not for the faint of heart. If you want bragging rights that last long after race weekend wraps, this is the race you’ll remember forever. Lace ’em up and button-up those chin straps! Important Note: The 20k will have a time limit of 3hrs 15 minutes and requires runners to submit a qualifying time of 2:30 in a verifiable 1/2 marathon to enter.

VerticAL's VertK
On Sunday take on the 4th Annual VerticAL's VertK, a daunting vertical 1K up TAOS’ famed Al’s Run. In winter, Al’s is an intimidating long, steep black diamond ski run directly under Lift 1, carved with seemingly infinite measure of moguls. VerticAL's participants will scramble up from the base to the finish at the top of Al’s – a grueling gain of 1,497’. Due to the demanding terrain, this event will be open to participants 16+ years old.
Double Trouble
Take on a two-day challenge with the Up & Over 10k or 20k on Saturday and VerticAL's VertK on Sunday. Each race will be timed - with a special prize going to best combined overall male and female.
3rd Annual Up & Dn Kid's Fun Run
This one is just for the kids – a mini-version of our classic Up & Over 10k run, the out and back course takes young runners up Pioneer Run and back down again at a distance of 1k. Bring the kids to join in the fun with their own Up & Dn!
This run is open to children 10 and under. Race will be untimed with overall boy and girl winners receiving a prize. All runners will receive an Up & Dn finisher’s medal. Half of all proceeds from the Up & Dn go to benefit Enchanted Circles Trail Association (ECTA). Please note: there will be NO same day walk-up registrations for the Up & Dn – please register early
