Description
Marathon, Half Marathon,10K, 5K, and 1 mile races in Cassadaga, New York on Saturday, May 27, 2023.
Join us for the third annual race and see why this event is becoming loved as one of the most challenging yet beautiful marathon courses around.
NO cut-off times for any distance. We will be there to cheer you in as you cross the Finish Line.
Enjoy this challenging course as it rolls along the three lakes of Cassadaga. Flat beginning and ending with a bunch of bumps in the middle for the longer distances.
Did we mention that this course is hilly?? Train for the hills and challenge yourself with those ups and downs, especially for the Half and Full Marathon. The course is on shaded, paved roads the entire way. No cut-off times!
*If you register and do not receive a confirmation email from RunSignUp your email is blocking it. Please adjust as this is the best way for us to communicate with you pre-race. We also communicate through our Facebook Group Page regularly.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Friday - 4p - 8pm - Packet Pick Up at race site (not mandatory).
Saturday - 6:30am-7:40am Check-in open for all distances at the race site.
Race day registration will be available until 7:30am only.
7:45am - MANDATORY Athlete meeting for all distances at the Start/Finish Line
8:00am - Race start
COURSE
This map and elevation is for the Half Marathon.
Marathon participants will complete the course twice.
The course consists of two out-and-back sections.
Start and Finish at the Cassadaga Beach. All distances use the same starting line and course.
*Turnarounds for the 1 mile, 5K and 10K will be marked for each distance.
LOCATION and PARKING
LOCATION:
Race start and finish at the Cassadaga Beach on Park Avenue, Cassadaga, NY
PARKING:
FREE parking will be available 1/2 mile from the race site with shuttle bus offered.
There will be no parking at the race site or ANY OTHER LOCATION within the Village of Cassadaga.
COURSE SUPPORT AND SPECIAL NEEDS
MARATHON SPECIAL NEEDS BAG:
If you are racing the Marathon - you are welcome to bring a bag that will be available to you at the turn around which will be near the Start/Finish Line.
DRY BAG DROP OFF:
One location near the medical tent to drop off your dry bag for post-race. Not monitored, please no valuables as we cannot be responsible for items. Stickers and markers are available at check-in to mark your goodie bags.
ON-COURSE SUPPORT:
Fully stocked aid stations roughly every mile with Hammer Nutrition products, water, candy, fruit, pickles and pickle juice, and more.
Portable restrooms will be available at the Start/Finish Line as well on the course at 3 different locations.
MEDICAL SERVICES:
There will be a medical tent staffed with professionals at the finish line area.
POST RACE
DIVISIONS & AWARDS:
Top 3 Overall Male & Female for each distance
Top 3 M/F Age group winners, 5 year age groups, for each distance.
Awards ceremony will be held for each distance when the majority of runners have completed their race.
INCLUDED IN REGISTRATION:
Race T-shirts (for participants and volunteers that sign up prior to May 1)
Finisher Medals
Beer Zone supplied by Southern Tier Brewing Company (must be 21 years of age)
Fire Pit if it is a chilly day.
Catered food; breakfast and lunch items will be provided to all participants and volunteers by Super Duper Catering. Additional items will be available for purchase for your spectators.
CHANGING DISTANCE
You are permitted to change the race distance that you have signed up for PRIOR to race day ONLY!
No refunds if going down in distance.
There will be a rate difference for going up in distance and you must reach out to Tonia Wilson at tonia@coachmarkwilson.com to make arrangements.
NO adjustments can be made on race day.
RULES
Only registered athletes on the course.
No offensive, intimidating, or dangerous behavior will be tolerated.
No littering on the course or race site.
No dogs permitted on the course or at the race site.
Races held rain or shine.

A portion of your registration fee will be donated to the Child Advocacy Program of Chautauqua County or CAP. You may also make an additional donation to this very important organization during registration.
VOLUNTEERS: We love and appreciate all of our volunteers. If you have someone that is coming with you to the event we ask that they look over our volunteer list and choose a task and time that would work for them. When volunteers register early they will receive a race day t-shirt. They will also receive FREE food from our caterer as well as entry into the STBC Beer Zone. Thank you.

COVID-19
We will be following protocols established by the State of New York and will adhere to whatever the State and County require us to do as of race date 2023. We WILL ask that you practice common sense. If you are feeling sick or showing symptoms of COVID, please refrain from participating. Deferrals will be given.
