Yes! The Mixed Team Relay debuted at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paris 2024 and is now a permanent Olympic event. The distances are slightly different but in the same format.
The Mixed Team Relay is a fast, short-format triathlon where teams of four athletes (2 men + 2 women) each complete a minitriathlon before tagging the next teammate.
Each athlete completes:
Swim: 330 yrds (300m) (The water is only 3’ - 5' deep and so you can stand up)
Bike: 3.0 Miles (4.8 km) (2 loops)
Run: 0.6 miles (1 km) (1 and half)
Then tags the next athlete.
The run is an out and back along the north path and then a small half loop back into the relay zone or finish line)
What is the order?
Woman → Man → Woman → Man.
No, sorry. Its only 20 mins long.
However, there will be Apple Juice and beer afterwards
