Description

NO TIMING CHIP, JUST A CLOCK AT THE FINISH LINE and a proud feeling of accomplishment.

This will be an empowering event, not a competitive one. Women coming together to challenge themselves to run, walk or run/walk 2. 5 miles and be proud of the accomplishment. It will look different for each of us and that is ok! Custom award medals at the finish line.  100% of proceeds from sales go to youth of Long Island including families who are dealing with a family member diagnosed with breast cancer.

ALSO: COME JOIN OUR FACEBOOK GROUP MOMS RUN LONG ISLAND TOO - https://www.facebook.com/groups/2115662262124506)

Why:
1. To have fun, challenge yourself and dedicate some time to you and your health.  A 2.5 mile walk, run, or walk/run performed in a way that pushes you out of your comfort zone and makes you proud is a powerful part of your self care.  Come join other women in this journey of making time for ourselves and be proud of our accomplishments.
2.  To support our LONG ISLAND YOUTH in developing self confidence, leadership skills and an understanding of giving back through community work.  Funds raised through the non-profit, Kids Run Long Island, are used for youth scholarships and LI youth community grants as well as donations to help families with a family member diagnosed with breast cancer.

2.5 mile walk, run or walk/run, depending on what is a challenge for you!  We are coming together as strong women to get healthy and have fun!

Race event is open to everyone. Strollers are allowed but you must start in the back of the start line. Walkers stay to right on trail and runners stay on left of trail.
