Event Safety & Information
- All events will begin at 8:00 am sharp on Sunday, September 7, 2025. Please be sure that you are in the corrals no later than 7:45 am. Late starters will not be allowed to participate in the event.
- The start will take place on the corner of Market Street and Market Square in New Albany. See the course routes on the walk website. The finish will be in the same place as the start.
- Your bib must be pinned on the front of your shirt and not be covered by another garment, as the chip needs to be read when crossing the start and finish lines. Do not remove the foam tag on the back.
- Feel free to download the Race Joy Mobile app to allow others to track you along the course as well as get an update on your progress along the course. Let your friends and family know, so they can keep in touch with you during the event. You must have your phone on you and activate the tracking within 30 minutes of the beginning of your start for the walk.
- We will have 3 aid stations along the 10k course and 1 aid station on the 5k course with water and sports drink. When you cross the finish line, you will receive your medal and a bottle of water.
Dogs are strictly prohibited in all events. Strollers are ONLY allowed in our 5k. Our insurance does not cover anyone who participates with a pet. If you are spotted by our staff or volunteers, you will be disqualified. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
The post-race food festival will provide many options for participants. We want to be sure everyone has an equal opportunity to get their food of choice.
