📍 Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your race to check in and get ready.

The race starts and finishes at South Beach Marina in Newport, Oregon.

There is plenty of parking available right at the marina near the start/finish area. Follow the signs and volunteers for easy access.

Every registered 10K and 5K participant will receive:

Coming soon! The 10K route builds on the 5K course with extended views and additional mileage west of the jetty.

5K Course Overview

The 5K begins and ends in the South Beach Marina, right next to Rogue Brewery. Runners start by heading north toward the roundabout and enter the boat ramp parking lot from the north side. With the Yaquina Bay Bridge rising in the background, they loop through the lot and exit from the south end.

After passing the start/finish area again, runners head under the Yaquina Bay Bridge and continue west along South Jetty Road, following the scenic shoreline of Yaquina Bay. The turnaround point is just before the end of the road near South Jetty.

From there, runners retrace their steps back to the marina, finishing with one last pass under the bridge—offering two chances to cruise by Rogue Brewery and take in the harbor views, bridge backdrop, and festive coastal atmosphere.

Kids Run Overview

Coming soon! The Kids Run is a short, safe out-and-back route near the start line — ideal for children 10 and under.

The Kids Run is the perfect way to get your little ones moving and excited about race day!

• 🐣 Designed for kids age 10 and under
• 📏 Approximate distance: ~200 meters
• 🚩 Starts near the main start/finish area after the 5K & 10K begin
• 🎖️ Every child receives a finisher ribbon
• 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents are welcome to run alongside their kids
• 📸 Professional photos included!

No registration fee for parents wanting to run with their kids!

• 📩 All participants must be registered and wear their bib visibly on the front of their shirt.
• ⏱️ The 5K and 10K are chip timed. Results will be posted online shortly after the race.
• 🎧 Headphones are allowed but please stay aware of your surroundings.
• 👶 Strollers are welcome in the 5K — please start toward the back of the pack.
• 🐶 For safety reasons, dogs are not allowed on the race course.
• 🌧️ The race happens rain or shine! Please dress appropriately for coastal weather.
• 🧍 Stay to the right on out-and-back sections to allow room for passing runners.

The Newport Turkey Trot is more than just a run — it’s a chance to show off your creativity and team spirit!

• 📸 Come in costume! Think turkeys, pilgrims, pies, pumpkins, or anything festive and fun.

• 🎉 Judging happens just before the 10K/5K start — be at the start line early and ready to strut!
