Welcome to the 13th annual Jack Roth 5K Rock'N'Run/Walk! We are pleased to announce this year's honorary race chair is Dr. David Carbone, Professor of Internal Medicine, Director of the James Thoracic Oncology Center at the OSUMC and the Barbara J. Bonner Chair in Lung Research. He has primarily focused on creating cutting-edge treatments for patients with lung cancer and the funds earned by the Jack Roth Fund directly benefit Dr. Carbone’s research at the OSUCCC – James
2017 was another fantastic record year in fundraising, bringing in over $125,000 for the Jack Roth Fund, bringing our 12 year total to more than $1,240,000. The Jack Roth Fund was created to promote the vital research and treatment necessary to combat lung cancer, through the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital, and to support Jack Roth Camp Netaim, a program in Israel for children with special needs. The James 5K Race Series features three annual running events in central Ohio that will reach more than 4,000 participants, friends, and family members. Proceeds from these races benefit three different areas of cancer research, including lung, sarcoma, and head and neck cancers at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. Don't wait in line on race day, get your race gear early. For the first time, the Jack Roth 5k Rock'N'Run/Walk will have early packet pickup hours! Stop by Art with Anna (420 N Cassady Ave 43209) on Friday, June 8 (3p-6p), or Saturday, June 9 (9a-12p) to get your t-shirt, number, and race bag. All materials can also be picked up at the event on race morning beginning at 7:30 am.
The Jack Roth 5K Rock’N’Run/Walk is definitely an event you don’t want to miss. In addition to being a great late spring race that’s going into its 13th year, all 5K participants receive a one-of-a-kind, super soft, race shirt from HOMAGE as well as a free entry into the race day drawing and a bag of goodies. The morning features the Dave Gill Chevrolet complimentary food, fun and fitness marketplace featuring local food, health and wellness vendors and is filled with live music, awards and prizes. There are also lots of fun activities for the younger ones as well including face painting, balloon making, glitter tattoos, a braid bar and a bouncy house!
The morning is truly more than a run, it’s the Jack Roth 5K Rock’N’Run/Walk.
Parking is available around the perimeter of the school campus and on the side streets.

The top overall female and male finishers will receive a special prize, an outfit from Lululemon! Special awards will also go to the top three overall finishers (male & female) and to the top three finishers in each of the following age groups (male & female): 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over.
