After carefully monitoring developments surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic over the last several months, CHA Animal Shelter has made the decision to transition the 30th Annual Dog Jog and Fun Run to a virtual race this year. A virtual event means that while we will not have race timing or any of the great in-person event festivities we have enjoyed previously at Genoa Park in downtown Columbus, we are hopeful that our community can still connect virtually to help raise money for the dogs and cats in our care.
This year’s switch to a virtual run/walk means that all registered participants can take part in the event by running or walking on their local bike paths, along their favorite neighborhood routes, or wherever running and walking is safely permitted at this time. Participants will be encouraged to post photos to social media and submit their virtual results for the event between Sunday August 23rd and Saturday August 29th. Don’t worry, all participants will still receive some awesome swag items including a race t-shirt, finisher medal, and a custom race bib! If you are out running and walking for this year's virtual race, we would love to see your race photos! We are encouraging participants to follow us on Facebook and post pictures with the hashtag #CHADogJog!

Make a difference to the animals in your community by joining us for the 30th Annual Dog Jog and Fun Run, a fundraising event that supports CHA Animal Shelter.
To participate in this virtual event, simply register and complete a 5K Run/Walk or a 1-Mile Run/Walk in your own park or neighborhood. It is always a great experience to enjoy a fun-filled morning of exercise with your ENTIRE family, including your dog!
You don't have to run or walk or attend the event to make a difference at our shelter - you can always become a fundraiser and make your voice heard in your community:

If registering for the event between August 23rd and August 29th, race items can be picked up at CHA Animal Shelter (3765 Corporate Dr - 43231) between 12pm and 2pm or 6pm and 8pm Monday August 23rd through Friday August 28th and between 1pm and 4pm on Saturday August 29th.
