Race start times: Kids Dash - 10:45 AM -- 1-Mile and 5K - 11:00 AM

Join us for the 2024 Nationwide Children’s Superhero Run, a family-friendly event held at Hilliard Davidson High School to support all aspects of the school band program. We are once again extending an invitation to all Superheroes. Come dressed as your favorite superhero and have fun running/walking in one of our races while raising money for a worthy cause. Your support directly supports our students in many ways to continue performing at a high level here in the Columbus area and throughout the state. To show our thanks, the Hilliard Davidson Band will be there to perform not only before the race but also throughout the course.

T-Shirt for 5K and 1M Guaranteed for all registrants through April 15th, 2024 - available on a first-registered-first-served basis after that. All registrants for all three races are guaranteed a medal upon completion.

Hilliard Davidson Band Program

The Hilliard Davidson Band program has a long-standing tradition of excellence, having consistently received superior ratings at district-level events and State Marching Band Finals competitions. The funds raised will help pay for instruments, uniform needs, and supplemental educational opportunities for students in one of Central Ohio's most well-supported and highly regarded programs.

ADDITIONAL RACE INFORMATION

Packet Pickup

We will not be doing an early packet pickup for this year’s race, all pickup will be on race morning. When you arrive at the race (Davidson HS’s Campus) on the morning of May 5th, you will be able to get your race bib and t-shirt (as applicable to your event).

Parking

Please note that the parking lots at Davidson High School are fine to use for parking but for the safety of all participants: once the 5K and 1-mile races begin at 11:00 AM, all lot exits will be "soft" closed until the final participants have cleared any specific path intersection. If any participant or spectator knows that they need to leave before the race is complete (ie, you're only coming for the Kids Run!), we recommend parking across Davidson Rd at Weaver Middle School so that you will not be blocked in.

Race Day Timeline

9:30 AM - Race Day Pickup and Registration (registration available while spots remain open) begins near the stadium entrance
10:45 AM - The Kids Dash takes place on the stadium track, starting and finishing at the inflatable arch
10:00 AM - The 1-mile and 5K events begin, starting and finishing at the inflatable arch on the track
11:45 AM - Awards are presented to the top two finishers in the 5K and 1 Mile events, by the band logo sign in front of the school

Awards

In addition to medals for those completing all events, we will be providing fun prizes to celebrate the First and Second-place male and female winners of the 5K and 1 Mile races. These prizes will be announced and presented at approximately 11:45 AM following the race completion by the band logo sign in front of the school. Thank you in advance to those local businesses that have generously donated to our pool of prizes.
