The Need for Speed

Help us raise the money for Adison's new chair....

Adison was born with a severe case of AMC (Arthrogyposis Multiplex Congenita). He has little to no muscle and joint function from the neck down and relies on his power chair for any type of mobility. He is quickly out-growing his current chair and needs a new and hopefully a little faster one...he's got to keep up with his little brothers! A power chair can cost over $25,000 and though God has provided amazing insurance, the Delp family still has to come up with $3,000 for the cost of the high speed motors. The high speed motors go 7.5mph vs. the standard 6 mph. However, insurance does not cover any of this cost. To him his power chair is more than just his legs, it's his bike, his scooter, his racing feet to get him around. He wants to really be able to 'run' a 5k, to keep up with his family and friends at the bike trail, around the neighborhood, and just play around with his brothers doing what every 9 yr. old boy does. The extra speed is the difference for him in all these things. Thus, we are holding a 5k to help raise the funds needed. He doesn't want to be left in the dust!
