About Run for Pride & Event Proceeds: Muskogee Run for Pride is a youth running program that is brings together 12 to 18 year old students and adult mentors for a three month training program each fall and spring. Students in the program meet three times each week for training runs and compete in several 5k races during the three month season. Each student is provided a pair of running shoes, t-shirts, and shorts and gets to compete in 5k races for no charge. The program serves about 12 to 20 students each season with some of the students being referred from the juvenile court system and others just being interested in running and making new friends. All the proceeds from this event will go to support the programs expenses and to further its purpose and goals.
