The Boring Marathon, Half-Boring Half-Marathon, and Constantly Boring 8K will take place on September 11, 2022. All races start and finish at Boring Station Trailhead Park in downtown Boring, Oregon. Parking will be at Boring Middle School, Naas Elementary School, and the surrounding neighborhood. Please use SE Wally Rd and SE School Ave to reach parking after 6:15 am, as runners will be crossing SE Dee St. The three races are all on the Springwater Trail, out and back, with the marathon having a few side detours to take in some local neighborhoods. The marathon mainly follows the Springwater Trail into Gresham and then continues onto a portion of the Gresham-Fairview Trail to Division Street before returning to the Springwater Trail, heading further west for a few more miles, then turning and heading home to Boring following the same route. The Half Boring Half is an out-and-back on the Springwater Trail. The same goes for the Constantly Boring 8K, which never really leaves the Boring area, so truly is constantly Boring. All races support the cross country and track teams at Barlow H.S. and West Orient Middle School and all proceeds go directly to these programs.
For 2022, as like last year, due to the popular demand of runners around the United States and beyond we will continue to offer a virtual option.
Limit - Marathon is limited to 130, Half to 220, the 8K to 150, and Virtual (Unlimited).

Time limit - Walkers are welcome, but because we run part of the race along roads, we need to discontinue aid stations and traffic control after 7 hours. Early starts can be arranged - but are not required - for marathoners or half marathoners who expect to take longer than 6 hours.
Boring Sister City of Dull, Scotland - any resident of Dull, Scotland gets free registration (but you pay the travel)
Awards - All entries prior to August 1st, 2021 are guaranteed to receive a shirt in their first size choice. Shirts are not guaranteed after August 1st, but we will do our best to order enough shirts to get everyone a shirt. Everyone will get a medal. To help guide a shirt choice, men's shirts tend to run a little large, and women's tend to run a little small. Medals will be awarded to finishers in all three races. Awards to top 3 places (male and female) in each age group for all races (except the virtual race).
Refunds and deferrals - Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds or deferrals once you have registered.
Changing races - If you signed up for a race and wish to change to a different race, please contact the race director before September 1 at firstname.lastname@example.org. There is no refund for the difference in cost when changing races.
