THE 2022 HAGG LAKE 10K AND 10M HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
This popular recreational haven boast big water and bigger vistas. Hagg Lake Park plays host to two events on Saturday May 7, featuring gentle hill and natural beauty. The 10.5 M run is one full loop around Hagg Lake. While the 10K is an out and back experience, turning around at the lake's earthen dam.
The 10K run/walk and 10.5 mile run start at 9 a.m. The 10.5 mile walk starts at 8 a.m.
Hagg Lake at Scoggins Valley Park, approximately 6 miles south of Forest Grove on Highway 47. Take the first left (over the dam) after the fee booth to get to C Ramp. Participants and volunteers will park at C Ramp, but the start/finish is at Bobcat Cove, a short walk away.
Packet Pick-up will be only on the day of the race at Ramp C starting at 7:30 a.m.
The 10K run/walk is out and back, starting at Bobcat Cove. The 10.5 mile run/walk is once around the lake going counter-clockwise, starting at Bobcat Cove. Participants should stay in the bike lane, except when the 10K crosses the road at the turn-around and at the finish. Flaggers will be provided.
For the Hagg Lake Run course map - click here. There will be four aid stations on the course; the 10K goes past the first station twice at miles 2.4 and 4.2, and the 10.5 mile passes all four at Miles 2.4, 3.5, 6 and 8.
THIS EVENT IS CUPLESS. We will NOT provide paper cups at aid stations. Participants are expected to bring their own handhelds, hydration packs or reusable cups. Aid station workers will have pitchers to fill containers with water and Gatorade, and there will be rapid-fill spigots on some water jugs. Aid stations will have Gu, plus sweet and salty snacks.
Gotta sign up for our Hagg Lake Run event to get one - the Hagg Lake Runs glass!
This year you can get an optional short-sleeve tech-material T-shirt for $20 during the registration process.
Past results and photos are available - click here.
Plaques to overall winners (open and masters) and ribbons five deep in all ORRC age categories for the 10K, and 10.5 mile run and walk. All participants and volunteers are eligible for random prize drawings, including the traditional pies. Awards will not be mailed. All 10.5 mile finishers will get a finishers medal.
Park admission fee is included in the entry fee. We will hand out passes at the entrance to grass parking lot at C Ramp, so you don’t need to stop at the booth. The pass must be displayed on your dashboard. Carpooling is encouraged.
The 10K and 10.5 miler have a separate walking category with awards for walkers. If you are registered as a walker, the expectation is that you will walk the entire time (i.e. one foot on the ground at all times). If you plan to run any portion of the 10K, then you should register as a runner. Please understand that that this is not a judged race walking event, so we expect walkers to police themselves. We ask that walkers start toward the back of the pack so as to not impede the runners, and to not walk more than two abreast on the course so that runners and traffic can pass safely.
The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, ORRC encourages a headphone-free environment during the running of the event.
Strollers, baby joggers or similar devices are permitted but should start in the back of the pack.
Only service dogs are permitted and they must be trained to run in crowds.
We discourage anyone younger than 14 to run the 10.5 mile distance.

The protocols are quite detailed, but feature the following. Face coverings MUST be worn while indoors. Keep a safe distance while outdoors.
